Q26: What is Money Trek and how can I benefit from using it?
A:
Money Trek is a groundbreaking tool to help both the experienced and novice investor develop their trading-related technique and disciplines. Money Trek focuses on improving your trading decision-making and chart-reading skills by providing a visual environment to let you "replay" the market, paper trade, and most importantly compile statistics of trading results. In each of the self-test sessions of Money Trek, you will be facing an anonymous stock in an unknown historical period, and it will appear as if you are actually doing position or intra-day trading. With the help of various technical indicators and signals of the stocks and related indices, you will make a series of decisions to trade in and out of the stocks and move forward visually by mouse-click. At the end of each test, your results are compiled and stored. You can then review in depth performance reports that include statistics on individual sessions, overall performance, and even ranking among your peers. These test results yield valuable information including average percentage return, annualized percentage return, and the Sharpe ratio. Through these evaluations you will continuously learn how to improve your trading skills.
There are two types of Money Trek tests: Interday Trek is currently available to all registered users and the soon-to-be-released Intraday Trek and Portfolio Trek will be accessible to Gold and Silver subscribers only. The Performance Reports can be accessed as a Silver subscriber. The invaluable comprehensive Detail Reports on your stats are offered to Gold members, only.
