How do I get relevant news for a specific stock (ticker-based news)?
There are various ways to access news for a specific stock, or ticker-based news. Once you have reached the News Center, enter a stock symbol, such as "ORCL" in the Ticker-Based toolbar, then hit the "News" button. Voila, all of the relevant Oracle Corp. news is now right there before you! (See Figure 3)

The headlines in the News Center are concisely informative. You can view the details by clicking on the items that interest you.
The News Center's auto-refresh feature will keep you abreast of the market's movements by continuously feeding you timely news in intervals of your choosing, either at 5, 10 or 30-minute updates. To give you maximum flexibility, we made this feature customizable: You can turn it on or off and as mentioned, determine the refresh intervals. By default, the auto-refresh is off. To turn it on, scrolling down to the bottom of the page, first select the interval of your choice then click "Enable Automatic Refresh" button (See Figure 4). You can disable this feature or change the refresh rate afterwards.

If you want to find news in a specific category, say an industry sector such as oil, our third level news service is the best place. Simply click on the "More News Categories" button located at the upper right corner of the News Center main page; you will see a number of hierarchically organized categories, where you can find more specific news categories like "Corporate News," "Banking," "Oil," and so on.
